Navigating Russian airports or their customs isn’t short and easy. But at least our tale of arrival day can be just that.

The meeting up process went without a hitch for our first three ringers arriving in Домодедово (Domodevodo) airport, but did not work out the other two (it seemed the customs lines are 20 minutes long if you are coming from Belarus but 2 hours long if you are coming from Georgia).

Father Roman was there to greet us at the hotel. He is the bell ringer of the Данилов (Danilov) monastery but also one of the great bell specialists in Russia. He is involved in projects around the world with bell casting projects or sound studies with his bell center. We are very lucky to have him with us in the upcoming days!
